Project Details
Designed and constructed a hybrid cast-in-place concrete box culvert system consisting of appx. 1,800 LF of double box culvert varying in size from double (two cell) 12’ span x 6’ tall, 8’ span x 8’ tall, transition sections, junction boxes, wing walls, and a precast box culvert installed under an active roadway during short phase MOT. This project included 3,759 CY of class A4 concrete and 636,518 LBS of reinforcing steel. Most of the box culvert was constructed inside a slide rail trench shoring system with overhead and underground utilities running parallel and perpendicular to the excavation.
