Project Details

HK Fosters, LLC, Fairfax County Virginia:  Designed and constructed a triple 65’ arch span bridge crossing on 8’ tall cast-in-place concrete pedestal walls.  Project consisted of offering a turn key design and construction for the deep foundations (56 EA, 4’ diameter, caissons, socketed 7’ into competent rock), substructure (two abutments and two piers appx 8 vf from finished grade constructed on top of a cast-in-place concrete cap), designing, fabricating, and setting the 65’ span precast arch members, with each member weighing 64,000 pounds, setting the precast headblocks and wing walls, and forming and pouring the reinforced cast-in-place concrete parapet wall and guardrail system, including grounding the metal railing.

Embrey Dam, Fredericksburg, VA
